Class IX girl from Gandhinagar reunited with parents
Vadodara: A class IX girl from Gandhinagar was reunited with her parents by government railway police (GRP) on Thursday. The girl had fled home on Thursday fearing failure in her school exams.

The missing squad of GRP had found the girl crying on Vadodara railway station. Suspecting that she may have got lost, the cops asked her whereabouts. Initially the girl was reluctant, but when a few women cops talked to her, she opened up. The girl told the police that she had left home in Gandhinagar without informing anyone.


The girl said that her school examination did not go well and because she was afraid that she will fail, she went to Ahmedabad and from there boarded a train. She took Okha-Ernakulam Express train and on reaching Vadodara, the girl did not know what to do further so she got down. Police then contacted the girl’s parents, who also searching for her in Gandhinagar.


The family members reached Vadodara and after proper counselling of the girl and her parents, she was allowed to go with them. A cop said that the girl was youngest among her five siblings. Her father works on contract with the electricity board.
