Bihar Board 10th result 2019 to be announced today at 12:30 pm

PATNA: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) chairman Anand Kishor on Friday announced that the results of matriculation examination would be declared on April 6 at 12.30pm at Board's office. The result will be jointly announced by the state education department additional chief secretary RK Mahajan and Bihar Board chairman.
Candidates will be able to check their results on www.biharboardonline.in and www.biharboardonline.gov.in.

This year 16,60,609 candidates appeared for the Class XII board examination including 8,37,075 girls and 8,23,534 boys at 1,418 exam centres in Bihar. The examinations were held from February 21 to 28 and the practical examinations were held in January. Total 162 candidates barred from the examination for malpractices and 56 impersonators were caught.
The evaluation of answer copies of class X was started from March 8 and concluded on March 27 at 173 evaluation centres. For evaluation work, the Bihar Board has also deputed the teachers of all major universities of state.

Kishore said, "Because of hard work of all staff of Bihar Board and teachers and other members, we are going to announce the result so early. Now, our students will be able to get admission in good schools of their choice."

This time, the Board deputed the computer operators at evaluation centres for tabulation work. All the computers are attached to the BSEB headquarters in Patna which automatically receives all information, including marks, related to a student.


Earlier in the previous week, the Bihar Board had announced results for class XII board exam.


According to sources in BSEB, it was the first time that the Board is going to announce the Class X results in April. Last year, the result was announced on June 26 with the pass percentage of 68.89%. Around 10.76% passed with first division, 37.74% with second division and 20.3% with third division.


The top scorers of the BSEB's class X examination would get a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader each. A cash prize of Rs 75,000 each would be given to the second topper and Rs 50,000 each to the third topper. While the students holding fourth to tenth ranks in the class X examination, would get a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.


The top ten rank holders of Class X would also get the scholarship money for higher education under Desh Ratan Dr Rajendra Prasad Medha Chatravriti.
