Channel Seven executives are 'scrambling to lure back viewers' after My Kitchen Rules was smashed in the ratings by Married at First Sight, a new report claims.
The Daily Telegraph reports there are concerns at the network after the cooking show was not only been defeated by the marriage-based reality show but lost some of it's own viewers too.
According to the paper, My Kitchen Rules 'lost half its usual viewing audience' and was averaging 800,000 viewers.

Married at First Sight is averaging 1.6 million tuning in, the paper claims.
It goes on to quote an alleged TV source who claims: 'It's nothing short of a disaster. There's some genuine concern about what happens from here.
'The network needs to either find a 'lightning in a bottle' idea like MAFS or figure out a way to get MKR back on track,' the source is alleged to have said.
The Daily Telegraph also alleges that the network had been 're-editing MKR footage to emphasise interpersonal relationships' in response.
