Assam: 34 pc candidates in phase 1 are matric pass or below

Fourteen of the 41 candidates in contesting the election in the first phase on April 11 are either matriculates or not even that, including a sitting BJP MP, according to their poll affidavits.

Polling on five of the 14 seats in will be held on April 11.

A total of 75,16,284 people are eligible to vote in Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Kaliabor and Jorhat constituencies.
