Renault EZ-Tournee Concept Is Straight Outta Blade Runner

Renault has been on a tear lately, drawing up some of the most interesting concepts in the industry. They even won the ‘Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ award a few years back with the Trezor study.

Yet, sometimes it takes an outside observer to take things on a whole different level, which is what Artyom Trofimenko did here with the EZ-Tournee, a vehicle that belongs in a world we have yet to catch up to.

It almost looks like its design is simplistic yet intricate at the same time. Perhaps a better way to describe it is that it was drawn up to be both efficient and clean, with a roomy cabin providing excelling visibility for two passengers and a minimalist exterior with fenders that are curbed inwards.

The front and rear fascias are mostly luminescent panels and the wheels are massive, perhaps way larger than they need to be. We can only assume that such a car would be both fully electric and entirely capable of driving itself without any assistance from the driver, which according to the designer would be a 30-45 year old male, also described as a purist and, for some reason, single. Probably because there’s no space for kids, but that’s a bit of a stereotype, as sports-car owning people aren’t just males – or single, for that matter.

As for how it compares with other futuristic Renault concepts, it’s easily not as stylish as the Trezor, but it’s more dynamic than the EZ-GO. Looks-wise, it probably belongs in the same class as the EZ-Ultimo – another quirky, ultra-futuristic concept.
