Former India opener Gautam Gambhir felt Chennai Super Kings lacks a pace spearhead who can bowl at express speed. “I think it has the squad set for its home games. But it probably lacks one quality seamer up front. Especially when it goes away from home, it might need someone who can bowl at 145 or 150,” opined Gambhir, a Star Sports Select Dugout expert. 

However, the commentator was of the opinion that CSK has all bases covered for its matches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. “It is very well sorted in its own backyard where it spins good. It has got (Suresh) Raina and (Kedar) Jadhav who can chip in as spinners and they bat well too. The team probably lacks a little bit in fast bowling,” added the World Cup winner.
