Ujjain: Thousands of devotees took dip on snan parv- bhutadi amavasya at KD Palace located Bawan Kunds and river Kshipra on Friday. Devotees also took dips at Siddhanath and other ghats of the river Kshipra. The administration claimed that the necessary arrangements were made for the devotees ahead of the parv. The district administration had installed mobile toilets, temporary changing rooms, potable water dispensers, and lighting arrangements on every ghat.
Home guards and professional divers were deployed at the ghats of the Kshipra and life jackets were also arranged by the administration. The health department held a health checkup camp at the principal venue of snan where hundreds of villagers were checked up by qualified doctors.
