A case has been registered against DMK president M.K. Stalin on Friday on charges of making defamatory statements against Minister S.P. Velumani.
The case was filed based on a complaint filed by T. Ramachandran, an advocate from AIADMK's lawyer division.
On Thursday, Mr. Stalin in Thondamuthur alleged that Mr. Velumani was shielding the accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse case.
