ROORKEE: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo, Mayawati, lashed out at BJP and Congress at a public rally in Roorkee today, for not delivering promises made to countrymen.
Without mincing her words, Mayawati alleged that both the parties compromised with the 'internal security' of country and cannot offer real growth to the nation, "Bofors in Congress tenure and Rafael in BJP tenure shows both the parties are corrupted. While present government has misused IT, CBI and ED, the public will not vote these parties again."
She said that despite getting several chances to be in the power ever since independence, both parties failed in uplifting the nation.
"If our party comes in Centre, like Congress we will not give RS 6000 to BPLs but we will give 'permanent' public or private jobs. This will cure unemployment and poverty from the county and not just for five years (when will be in power) but the jobs will be permanent," she added.
She was addressing the rally in an undistinguished area of Roorkee in support of Antriksh Saini, BSP nominee for Haridwar constituency. The rally saw huge hoardings of BSP and SP leaders and crowd of over 3000 people, most of them BSP supporters.
She targeted Centre government for using country's money illicitly, "Together even all the 'big and small chowkidars of country cannot help BJP to come back in power' again, there slogan of sabkey saath sabka vikaas has completely fizzled out. Money of country used for chowkidaari of traitors."
