Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Friday said that the PMK had not sacrificed its policies and ideologies while sealing the alliance with the AIADMK.
Speaking at an election meeting at Kattumannarkovil near Chidambaram, he said, “We have joined hands with the AIADMK only to ensure overall development of Tamil Nadu.
Once the Godavari-Cauvery River project is implemented, Mettur dam would get 200 tmc of surplus water. Once this is done, water from the Cauvery can be stored in the Veeranam tank in Cuddalore district for the whole year”.
Mr. Anbumani Ramadoss charged DMK president M.K. Stalin with ranting incoherently on the campaign trail as he was fearful of defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Instead of highlighting policies and ideologies of his front, Mr. Stalin has been casting aspersions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of the AIADMK-led alliance.
‘Stalin lacks skills’
It is a known fact that the kith and kin of Mr. Stalin including his son Udayanidhi Stalin had been running the DMK since Mr. Stalin lacked leadership qualities and administrative skills.
The DMK had clinched an alliance with the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) much against the wishes of district secretaries and volunteers in the party.
The upcoming election for Chidambaram Parliamentary constituency should be fought to ensure that VCK was kept out of bounds and that the AIADMK-led alliance wins the election by a huge margin, he said.
