Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Sheila Dikshit on Friday urged the traders of the Capital to vote for the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and promised them that a Congress government at the Centre and in Delhi by 2020 would address all the problems of the traders and ensure ease of doing business.
Talks about sealing drive
“The BJP government at the Centre ruined the traders and businessmen of Delhi, particularly the small and medium traders, through demonetisation and GST and the Aam Aadmi Party government did nothing to save the traders when the sealing and demolition drive was unleashed on them,” Ms. Dikshit said. She reminded the traders’ associations that when the sealing and demolition drive started in Delhi in 2006, the Congress government brought an Ordinance to stop it. And later, the UPA government at the Centre made changes in the master plan to give great relief to the traders and businessmen in Delhi.
Ms. Dikshit was meeting traders’ associations from across the city at a meeting at the DPCC office. She outlined the promises made in the Congress manifesto and assured them that the Congress would simplify the GST that the NDA government has brought in.
