Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s pension scheme for transgenders has not just pleased members of the community living in the State, but those in other States are also impressed so much that they do not hesitate to take a break from rally of TDP’s rival party candidate in Mumbai and send a message in support to Mr. Naidu. Telugu-origin transgenders settled in Maharastra showered praises on Mr. Naidu for extending pension and other benefits to transgenders in Andhra Pradesh. "Chandrababu Naidu is doing something no government ever did for transgenders. His government is already giving ₹2,000 pension for us and promised to make it ₹3,000 in the next term. In addition, he is giving old-age pensions, ration cards, houses and others," said Chandini along with her group in a video on Twitter. Ms. Chandini hails from Chandragiri mandal of Chittoor, which is also the native district of Mr. Naidu. She said she moved to Mumbai 35 years ago and was feeling proud to talk about Mr. Naidu in Telugu in Maharastra while her group raised ‘Jai Chandrababu’ slogans.
