Arpita Khan Sharma‘s wedding to Aayush Sharma was easily one of India’s grandest in 2014. With five days worth of celebrations at Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace and a star-studded reception at Mumbai’s Taj Land’s End hotel, this wedding was one to remember, and one of the most heartfelt gifts the bride received on her big day was her Mumbai apartment, reportedly given to her by brother Salman Khan. Arpita Khan Sharma’s expansive living room

Like many young couples, Arpita Khan Sharma and husband Aayush Sharma have a large circle of friends, and their living room is perfect for at-home gatherings. Full of cosy couches, the Sharmas’ living space brings together contrasting hues including navy blue, black and maroon, which give their home a young, modern vibe. Quirky cushions decorate their deep blue sofas, while a glossy, ebony coffee table sits in front of a vibrant red textured wall, which often serves as the backdrop of Arpita’s party pictures. Despite the large size of the couple’s living room, the wall beside the Sharmas’ dining table features a large mirror that makes the area look twice as large.

While the colour scheme of Arpita Khan Sharma and Aayush Sharma’s home is all dark, statement-making colours, certain decor elements in their home give their space a younger, more Pinterest-worthy vibe. While one corner of the couple’s home features a three-tiered chandelier in shades of green, blue and pink, side tables featuring newsprint give their living room a more casual feel. It’s rare to see a room in this duo’s home that isn’t decorated with fresh flowers too.

One of the highlights of Arpita Khan Sharma and Aayush Sharma’s sprawling Bandra apartment has got to be their large terrace. Featuring lots of greenery and beautiful marble flooring, this area of the home seems to be a favourite with Aayush and little Ahil Sharma, who love hanging out under the open sky together. Known for hosting some of the best Diwali and Ganpati celebrations at her home, Arpita also seems to enjoy giving her terrace makeovers each time a festival comes around. Back in 2017, Ganesh Chaturthi had Arpita decorating her terrace with thousands of white flowers, crystal chandeliers, and a dessert display you’ve got to see to believe.

A peek inside Ahil Sharma’s cosy nursery

No young family’s home is complete without a cosy little nursery, and Ahil Sharma’s is definitely worth seeing. Though the toddler loves painting and playing with his friends in the living area, his bedroom, which doubles as a play room too, may just be his favourite spot in the apartment. Featuring glossy navy blue sliding doors and a plush, kid-friendly blue rug, the room’s palette ties in perfectly with the rest of the home’s, and also has enough space to house all of Ahil’s toys. The three-year-old’s room also includes a customised slide. If you’re expecting a child of your own, don’t miss some of the earliest pictures from Ahil’s room. His very first cot sat in front of a wall painted with hot air balloons and animals, and his grey and ivory bed linens couldn’t be cuter.
