Pence warns Turkey over buying Russian missile system

US Vice warned against going ahead with its planned purchase of the Russian-made missile system, hours after the Turkish said the acquisition was "a done deal".

"Turkey's purchase of a $2.5 billion anti-aircraft missile system from poses great danger to NATO and to the strength of this alliance," he said, adding that could face consequences for its action.

The US believes that the Russian-system is incompatible with the jet, saying that could use it to gather intelligence on the aircraft.
