Physiotherapy health camp organized

Hands of rural children washed, volunteers take out a voter awareness rally

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, A seven-day special camp was organized by the National Service Scheme unit of the Government Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyala, at Kekadiya village in which volunteers took out a voter awareness rally and launched a Swachhata Abhiyan in their project work besides conducting a hand washing campaign along with rural children in primary school.

Under the intellectual session programme of the NSS unit, villagers and volunteers were apprised with the ‘mobile phone syndrome ‘ and a Primary Health Camp (Physiotherapy) was organized under the guidance of Dr. Vivek Srivastava, former Assistant Professor, People’s University.

Volunteers presented a cultural programme in which the ‘Land Reform Movement ‘ started by Vinoba Bhave in 1951 was portrayed. Vinoba Bhave’s efforts were to ensure that redistribution of land not only through government laws, but rather through a movement. In the fifties of 20th century, Vinoba followed Gandhi’s ideology of creative works and trusteeship to make the Bhudan Movement a success.

Some poor people had grown crops after the voluntary land donation, but the full grown crop was taken away from them following which many farmers committed suicide.

Considering the same, Bhupesh and his team presented a drama on land reform in which a poor farmer prepares crop after his hard work and how he commits suicide when his land is snatched from him.
