Middleboro author, J.W. Elliot, will be in the Great Ponds Gallery at the Lakeville Public Library to talk about self-publishing and marketing of self-published books.

Elliot is a historian and a fiction author. He grew up in Idaho and learned to love the outdoors. He began shooting bows in grade school and eventually became an amateur bowyer, a press release from the library stated. He infuses his historical expertise and his experiences as a martial artist, knife maker, river guide, bowyer, canoer, and rock climber into his fiction.

His “Archer of the Heathland” series is a coming-of-age historical fantasy centered on a young archer propelled into military and political intrigues that endanger his family and threaten everything he loves.

This is a free program and is open to all ages. No registration is required. The schedule is 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Copies of his books will be available for purchase and signing.
