In a major jolt to Lok Insaaf Party, close aide of MlA Simarjit Singh bains Vipan Sood kaka has resigned from the party on Thursday. Sood was cashier and constituency Incharge of Party. He has contested Assembly elections from Ludhiana central on ticket of Lok Insaaf party but lost.

In his resignation letter to Party president Simarjit Singh Bains, Vipan Sood kaka has stated that he was feeling suffocated in party and can’t help the common people. He said that he is resigning from all the posts and primary membership of party. Apart from sending resignation to party president, Vipan Sood kaka has also announced his resignation on facebook.

It was said that Vipan Sood Kaka was close aide of MLA Simarjit Singh Bains. In 2017, Vidhan Sabha elections, Bains has ignored his founder members, councilors and allocated MLA ticket to Vipan Sood Kaka who was new in the party. Kaka Sood was also appointed as cashier of party.

After submitting the resignation, Vipan Sood was not available for comments as mobile phone was switched off. Sources said that, Vipan Sood will be joining Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on April 8.

It is pertinent to mention here that it is not for the first time that close aide of MLA Bains and senior leader of Lok Insaaf Party has resigned. Earlier also, right hand man of Bains, Kamaljit Karwal has left him and joined Shiromani Akali Dal and later Congress. Apart from Karwal, Daljit Singh Grewal who is district president of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also left Bains. Jagbir Singh Sokhi, Satpal Lohara, JaswinderThukral and others have left Bains brothers and other political outfits.

MLA Simarjit Singh Bains was not available for comments on the development.
