NEW DELHI: MS Dhoni might be in the twilight of his cricketing career but the veteran cricketer's aura continues to grow. Everyone is well aware of Dhoni’s love for his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings and its fans. The 37-year-old, once again proved it with a heart-warming gesture for a special Dhoni fan.

After the conclusion of the match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Dhoni met an elderly fan. Greeting the lady with humility and immense love, Dhoni’s gesture took social media by storm. The World Cup winning captain also took a selfie with the fan and gave her an autographed CSK jersey.

The elderly fan was also seen holding a placard that read 'I am here only for Dhoni'.

Fans on Twitter were once again very impressed with Captain cool after witnessing the gesture by the CSK skipper.











However, on the match front, it was a dull day for the reigning champions as they suffered their first defeat of the season.

Chasing a competitive total of 171 against MI, CSK could only make 133/8 in 20 overs.

Hardik Pandya was the wrecker-in-chief for the home team. After cracking an 8-ball 25, the all-rounder clinched three crucial wickets to dent CSK’s run-chase.

After their first loss of the season, CSK are at second spot in the points table while MI are now at sixth position with two wins and two losses after four matches.
