T’puram: Kerala Latin Catholic Association (KLCA), Neyyattinkara diocese, has alleged that railways neglected the demands for special trains for Velankani pilgrimage.
“Southern Railway has not announced any special trains from Thiruvananthapuram for Velankanni pilgrimage this year. Hundreds of pilgrims from Thiruvananthapuram, Neyyattinkara, Parassala and Kattakada areas will be affected due to this,” complained G Christudas, vicar general.
Also, there are complaints that the railway officials from Thiruvananthapuram had not informed the Chennai Division about the need for special trains. A complaint in this regard was submitted by KLCA to Chennai divisional railway manager. TNN
