4 BSF troopers killed by Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Four (BSF) personnel were killed and two others were wounded on Thursday in a gun battle with Maoists in Chhattisgarh, the said.

The troopers were deployed in Pakhanjur, Kanker, area when they came under attack from the Maoists with improvised (IEDs), triggering an exchange of fire, a statement said.

"Maoists also suffered casualties," the statement said, adding that the area had been cordoned off. The injured troopers were evacuated to a hospital.
