SP-BSP alliance candidate from Akbarpur files nomination on day 3
Kanpur: Two contestants including SP-BSP (Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party) alliance candidate Nisha Sachan, filed their nomination papers for Akbarpur constituency in Kanpur Nagar, on Thursday.
Nisha, a resident of South Ghatampur town appeared before the returning officer along with her proposer and two close supporters. Nisha in her affidavit adduced that there was no criminal proceedings against her nor she was ever punished. She declared assets worth Rs 70,51,372 including jewellery worth Rs 54,68,633, cash worth Rs 45,900 and a sum of Rs 16.10 lakh in her bank account. She reached Kanpur court with a procession thereafter she reached before returning officer along with his proposor and supporters.

Another contestant who had submitted his papers was Ram Gopal of Jan Utthan Party, a resident of village Paheva in Ghatampur Tehsil. He disclosed that he had a sum of Rs 58,100 only. As many as four candidates filed their nomination papers for Akbarpur Lok Sabha constituency.

After Sriprakash Jaiswal of Congress, Shivam Kushwaha, claiming himself as a candidate of Azad Bharat Democratic Party, was the second to filed nomination for Kanpur Nagar constituency. In his affidavit he adduced that he had a sum of Rs 1.90 lakhs as his asset.

In Kanpur Nagar, seven contestants collected 11 sets of nomination papers. One Kamlesh Dwivedi collected a set of form for Samajwadi Party candidate.


Pramod Mishra, Ratan Kumar Gupta and Kiran Yadav, collected nomination papers as independent candidate.


Dhirendra Kumar Gupta of Lok Tantrik Janwadi party too procured a nomination form to contest in the election. Alok Kumar and S K Pandey, representing Sabhijan Party and Republican Party, respectively also collected nomination forms.


As many as five contestants collected nomination papers for Akbarpur constituency. Arvind Sachan collected form for Bharatiya Janta Party candidate while Pushpendra Singh and Jawahar Mehrotra appeared as independent candidate. BK Pandey collected form for Janhit Bharat Party and Ashok Kumar appeared as Al Hind Party candidate .
