Yeddyurappa: Gowda, his two grandsons will lose elections
Haveri: BJP’s Haveri candidate Shivakumar Udasi filed four sets of nomination papers on Thursday. He filed the first set with his family members — father and Hanagal MLA C M Udasi, mother Chennamma, wife Revathi and another relative. He filed the other three sets with MLAs and party leaders.

Later, a massive rally was taken out from Purasiddeshwara temple to Municipal School grounds, where a convention was held. BJP workers sported PM Narendra Modi’s masks and raised ‘Modi...Modi...’ slogans. BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa reached the venue at 4pm. His arrival was delayed by two hours as the authorities did not clear taking off his helicopter as scheduled.

Yeddyurappa said over Rs 1,462 crore has been given to contractors who have claimed the money by creating fake documents in various departments.

“This is the main trigger for income tax raids. But chief minister H D Kumaraswamy is blaming BJP leaders for no reason. This shows that the alliance government is commission government,” Yedyurappa said.

He also predicted the defeat of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and his grandsons Nikhil and Prjawal, who are contesting from Tumakuru, Mandya and Hassan, in that order.
