Businessman thrashed in robbery attempt
Sanjay Yadav | TNN | Apr 3, 2019, 07:58 ISTGurgaon: Four people were booked for trying to rob a businessman of his car after thrashing him near Chauma railway crossing in the early hours of Tuesday.
Around 1.30am, 30-year-old Pradeep Singh (30) was on his way home at Shankar Vihar in New Palam Vihar when the crime took place, police said.
Near the railway crossing, Pradeep’s WagonR was stopped by four men, who asked him for water.
“When I told them that I have no bottle in my car, they attacked me and tried to take away my vehicle. I went outside and pushed them. Then, I came back inside and drove away towards my village,” Pradeep said in his complaint, adding that he received minor injuries in the ordeal.
An FIR was registered against four unknown men under the IPC Section 394 (causing hurt in committing robbery) at Palam Vihar police station on Tuesday.
“We are trying to identify the accused,” said ASI Nitya Nand, the investigating officer of the case. TNN
