Man stabbed, another bashed during aggravated burglary
A man has been stabbed in the abdomen and another bashed during a violent aggravated burglary in Melbourne's north.
Three men wearing balaclavas and armed with knives and screwdrivers knocked on the door at the Reservoir home on Excelsior Street before they forced their way about 1am on Wednesday.
The two victims who were at home were confronted by the three offenders, who demanded cash and the keys to a black Ford Mustang parked at the property.
Both the men were assaulted. The 56-year-old was stabbed to the abdomen and the 45-year-old man was bashed.
They were later taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries to the upper body.
One man is in a serious condition, the other is in a stable condition.
The three offenders stole the car and fled. Police have not found the car and are investigating.
The car belonged to the 45-year-old and was the "pride and joy" of its owner, 3AW reports.
