In an innings that started slow and continued to be so till halftime, Mumbai Indians managed a decent total thanks to the last over heroics from Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya.

MI batsman Suryakumar Yadav plays a shot during the IPL T20 2019 match between MI and CSK
Chennai:
In what is dubbed as the biggest rivalry of the IPL, the big guns failed to fire. A total of 170 seemed very distant even after 15 overs where they were just 93 for the loss of 3 wickets. But thanks to the neatly stitched partnership between Krunal Pandya 42 (32) and Suryakumar Yadav 59 (43), the scoreboard kept ticking.
But it was all about power hitting from Hardik Pandya 25* (08) and Kieron Pollard 17* (7) towards the end of the innings that propelled the score to 170.
Is the score big enough? Only time will tell.
