Kensington Palace isn’t the only royal social media account getting a mini makeover!

Princess Eugenie recently changed up her Instagram profile picture, sharing a never-before-seen black and white portrait of herself on her wedding day. The stunning solo shot, taken by wedding photographer Alex Bramall, shows the bride smiling in her gown and the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, borrowed from Queen Elizabeth for the special occasion.

The profile picture switch was almost missed given all the excitement of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry launching their own Instagram page, @SussexRoyal, on Tuesday. Of course, Eugenie made sure to dedicate a post to them.

Welcome cousins,” the Queen’s granddaughter, 29, captioned a sweet photo of the royal couple sharing a laugh during their Nov. 2017 engagement photo call.

Princess Eugenie wasn’t alone in changing up her profile picture either. Shortly after the announcement of Meghan and Harry’s new account, the Kensington Palace Twitter and Instagram pages changed their profiles to center around Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Both pages previously featured a profile photo of Meghan, Harry, Kate and William together at their first appearance as a foursome at the first annual Royal Foundation Forum in February 2018. Following the launch of the new page, the Kensington Royal profile images were changed to a photo of the Cambridge family. The casual snap, featuring Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, who turns 1 this month, was used as the family’s Christmas card this past year.

The Twitter bio and Instagram description have also been changed to read: “The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace,” dropping Meghan and Harry’s titles.

While Meghan deactivated her social media accounts after getting engaged to Harry, Eugenie actually launched her Instagram page in March 2018. It is likely allowed because Eugenie doesn’t have a formal working role within the royal family. While she does accompany her father on official duties and engagements, she doesn’t have a fixed role within the family like her cousins (although she does have causes she supports). In fact, Eugenie works as a director at London art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank in October, has shared epic Throwback Thursday posts and championed her philanthropy work through Instagram.
