Sakal Society Cricket League to begin from April 27

Pune: As many as 128 housing societies from the city have registered for the inaugural edition of Sakal Society Cricket League presented by VTP Realty, which will begin on April 27 with the knockout matches slated for the third week of May.

The weekend-only league will have 223 matches in all—draw for which will be held on April 7.
The teams will be drawn into eight groups comprising 16 teams and each group then will be further divided into four pools.

Top teams from each pool will qualify for the quarterfinals, followed by semi-finals and the final.
