The Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam treasurer Premalatha Vijayakanth has termed the AIADMK-led front in Tamil Nadu as the preferred alliance of the people.

Addressing an election rally here on Wednesday where she solicited mandate in favour of the AIADMK nominee for Nagapattinam (Reserved) Lok Sabha constituency, M.Saravanan, and the AIADMK candidate for by-elections to Tiruvarur Assembly segment R.Jeevanandam, the DMDK leader said the alliance forged by the AIADMK, DMDK and other parties was a coalition of natural allies. The parties in power at the Centre and State have come together in this alliance and likely to share the truck in future. This would help execute welfare schemes for the people effectively, she claimed.

Terming the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a strong leader, she accused Congress president, Rahul Gandhi of holding out with false promises.
