Lucknow: Kin oppose marriage, man hangs himself

Representative ImageLUCKNOW: A 30-year-old man allegedly hanged himself at his home in Beligarat locality of Madiaon on Tuesday . The deceased, Sudhir Rajput, was a bike mechanic.
SHO Madiaon Santosh Singh said the incident came to light when Sudhir’s nephew Ranjeet went to his room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
Singh said Sudhir was in a relationship with a girl for the past two years but their families were opposed to the alliance as their castes were different.
“It seems Sudhir was upset over the opposition and took his life in frustration,” he added.
The body was sent for postmortem examination.
