Share market update: Bank shares rise; YES Bank, BoB among top gainers
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.35 per cent up at 30,459.15 around 11:15 am.
NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the positive zone in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of IndusInd Bank (up 1.73 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 1.50 per cent), YES Bank (up 0.86 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.66 per cent) were the trading higher.
HDFC Bank (up 0.52 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.26 per cent) and IDFC First Bank (up 0.09 per cent) too were trading in the green.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.35 per cent up at 30,459.15 around 11:15 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 23.45 points at 11,736.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 146.04 points at 39,202.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, SAIL, DLF, Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, SBI, BEL, Ashok Leyland, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
