VISAKHAPATNAM: Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday said TDP and YSRC were spending a lot of money in Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram assembly constituencies to defeat him.

Addressing a meeting in Yelamanchili, Pawan said nothing could stop him from entering the assembly and expose the corrupt. “I have seen people’s troubles in Yelamanchili during my Praja Porata Yatra. More than 10,000 families were displaced due to the special economic zone in Achutapuram. Locals were not been given any preference in industries. Huge response to Jana Sena meetings is an indication of the youth’s desire for a change in Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

He said the TDP government has been trying to push the local Visakha Dairy into a crisis on the lines of Vijaya Dairy. “TDP and YSRC have been sharing the contracts, quarries and other works in the region on a 60:40 ratio. If a third alternative like Jana Sena is not there, there will be no end to their corruption. TDP MLA P Ramesh Babu has misused his power for personal gain,” said Pawan Kalyan.

Taking a dig at YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Pawan said he continued his padayatra in Vizianagaram even when the cyclone Titli had damaged the nearby Srikakulam district, ignoring his responsibilities as an opposition leader.

“Jana Sena’s Yelamanchili candidate S Vijay Kumar has been fighting on local issues for a long time. He is the right man for developing the constituency,” he said. Pawan Kalyan said Jana Sena, if voted to power, would sign the first file to provide Rs 5,000 monthly pension to farmers above 60 years. “The second signature would be on free gas cylinders’ scheme. The monthly ration system will be replaced with a monthly monetary benefit of Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 to each family. About 3 lakh jobs will be filled in the first six months,” he said.
