A 54-year-old private employee was arrested by the police for sexually abusing a teenager at her residence in Chaitanyapuri.
Police said that the accused was identified as Parvathreddy Balakrishna Reddy from Teachers Colony in Gurramguda.
“On April 1, Reddy visited the girl’s house when she was alone and tried to kiss and touch her private parts. When she raised an alarm, he fled from the spot,” police said.
He told the girl that he was a physical education teacher when she was in Class II and is currently rubbing shoulders with several political personalities in both the Telugu States, police said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, a case under Section 354 (Outraging modesty of a woman) was registered and Reddy was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
