Chinese tourists are all set to make Israel tourism a major boom

With a population of almost 1.4 billion, China is a gold mine regarding tourism possibilities, and Israel has by now hopped on the bandwagon. A conference organized this week at the Dan Jerusalem Hotel, titled “Made for China,” majorly targeted on nurturing relation between the two countries and finding out the methods to enthuse Chinese tourism to Israel.

Peter Phang, from tourism marketing agency BrandStory, stated that to the Chinese, China is considered the “middle” of the world, “so to us,” he joked, “Israel is a Western country.”
He emphasized that few Chinese provinces have over 20 million people; therefore, Israel’s marketing potential in few of these areas is huge.

Phang observed that as China is one market and one country, it is also a massive market—as large as Europe. “Some municipalities in China are so large,” he said, they have a GDP “equal to that of Australia. This demonstrates the scale of the Chinese market.”

Incoming tourists from vast countries like China would be a marvelous benefit to Israel.

The data is demonstrating the signs of advancement, and Israel is rapidly turning into a tremendously popular tourist destination. In fact, at the end of 2018, international market research firm EuroMonitor named Jerusalem the fastest-growing tourism destination in the world.
