Share market update: Realty shares advance; Godrej Properties climbs nearly 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading higher in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Godrej Properties (up 3.83 per cent), DLF (up 3.56 per cent) , Brigade Enterprises (up 1.85 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.74 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.66 per cent) , Sunteck Realty (up 0.30 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 0.16 per cent) too were trading higher.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.77 per cent up at 278.25 around 10:43 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 32.90 points at 11,746.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 187.48 points at 39,244.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of Tata Motors, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, DLF, Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, SBI, BEL, Ashok Leyland and Bharti Airtel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
