Two held for selling cough syrup containing alcohol

Police with one of the accused and the bottles seized from himRajkot: Two traders were arrested by police on Tuesday evening for allegedly selling cough syrup bottles containing high percentage of alcohol in Sardar Chowk and Teen Batti Chowk areas of Jetpur in Rajkot district.
The accused were identified as Yuvraj Hudad, who used to sell the illegal bottles at his shop in Sardar Chowk and Durgesh Mawa, who used to sell the bottles at his paan shop in Teen Batti Chowk.
“We seized 91 cough syrup bottles from the accused duo. There were also 220 empty bottles found on them,” said an official from Rajkot special operation group.
