The professional hurdler wife of San Francisco 49ers star Marquise Goodwin has opened up in a candid interview about losing twins sons at just 19 weeks and four days into their pregnancy, in hopes of helping others who have lost their babies.
Morgan Goodwin, 25, shared with People that one of the boys was born alive but passed away less than an hour after she delivered them both in November.
'Unfortunately, baby A was not breathing when he came out,' Morgan said.
'So then baby B came out. He was breathing still. He was probably breathing for about 30 minutes before he passed away.'
Morgan said that she and Marquise, 28, kept their sons with them in her hospital room while she received treatment for three days following the delivery.
The twins are the second and third sons lost by the Goodwins due to pregnancy complications, following a son who did not survive delivery at 19 weeks gestation in November of 2017.
Morgan previously lost a fourth pregnancy due to a miscarriage while in college.

The Goodwins decided to share about their recent loss to potentially 'help someone else who might be going through similar difficulties,' Morgan said.
'It’s something that [many] women experience but nobody talks about it. So you don’t talk about it,' she said.
'When you experience a miscarriage or you experience pregnancy loss and you don’t see anybody talking about it, then you think that nobody else is going to do it. And you get to a point where it’s like, "Oh my gosh, I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to tell anybody that I had a miscarriage. Let’s not tell anybody that I had a miscarriage because I don’t want nobody to think that I’m fault. I don’t want nobody to think that my body can’t do what it’s supposed to do,"' she said.
'So I feel like it’s a good thing to let other women know that you’re not the only one that has lost babies.'
The two children lost to the Goodwins in November had to be delivered early after Morgan's water broke prematurely.
The couple first revealed their loss in a video in January, shared to their YouTube channel.

'We experienced another traumatic event in our life that we had to overcome. It was tough at that point of the season,' the couple said in the video.
Morgan had to be monitored and medicated for three days following the delivery, after doctors noted elevated blood pressure and a fever, during which she 'stayed with my boys all those days,' she said in her recent interview, published on Tuesday.
'I would stay with them the whole time they were in my room. The whole time,' Morgan said.
'I did let them go back to get dressed and take pictures and get measured and stuff and then [they] brought them back. But I had them the whole time when we were in the room.'
The couple, who found out they were pregnant during training camp, had been trying to keep their second pregnancy secret for as long as possible due to their history.

They had even filmed a gender reveal video that they had been planning to share right before the series of tragic events.
Goodwin was absent from the 49ers' games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks on November 25 and December 2 last year due to a family crisis.
The wide receiver had to fly back from Florida after learning that his wife was suffering from complications.
'In November I experienced preterm labor, and I was having contractions, I was in and out of the hospital and placed on bed rest,' Morgan said.
'That one game when babe had to go to Florida… I ended up getting hospitalized again and I was on bed rest. I woke up at 3am with contractions that were really bad and rushed to the hospital. They were so bad my water broke.
'My doctor said there was no way the baby could survive from 19 weeks all the way up to give birth if the water is gone.'
The couple had kept their pregnancy secret because of their history, but filmed a gender reveal video (above) that they had been planning to share. They shared the footage in January when they revealed they had lost the two boys
The amniotic sac for one of the babies had ruptured but the second one remained in tact. She underwent surgery to try and save the babies.
'Baby B was still good but Baby A wasn't,' she said.
'We were going to try to do a delayed delivery, but it didn't even end up working out because they had made a mistake and ruptured [the second] sac during the surgery, which we knew was a possibility.'
Marquise was allowed to take two weeks leave and his absence was explained as a personal matter.

Following the game, Goodwin posted on his Instagram account that their son died due to complications during the pregnancy.
'I just wanna thank those who’ve genuinely prayed for @morganakamomo & myself throughout this pregnancy,' he wrote.
'Unfortunately we lost our baby boy due to some complications, and had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4am.
'Although we are hurt, I am grateful for the experience and grateful that God blessed me with a wife as courageous and resilient as Morgan. The pain (physically, mentally, & emotionally) that she has endured is unbelievable.'

The two tried for a year to get pregnant before ultimately losing their first son in 2017.
'I think that it just brought us closer together,' Morgan told People, of how that earlier loss impacted her relationship with Marquise.
'I hear a lot of stories about women having pregnancy loss and then it ends up putting a gap in their relationship… the husband is resentful [because he thinks] you can’t even have our baby or something like that, but it never got to that point. He was always supportive.'
