The second generation Nissan Leaf is one of the most successful EVs in the market. And with so many of them out there, it’s no wonder that it has attracted a number of tuners.
Take this car by Kuhl Racing, for instance. By adding wider fenders, new bumpers at both ends, different side skirts, a large roof-mounted spoiler and a rear diffuser, the Japanese company has significantly transformed the exterior of the electric hatchback.

To make things more interesting, Kuhl Racing, which has become famous for modifying cars such as the Nissan GT-R, has chosen a not-so-ordinary hue and aftermarket wheels with a silver finish on the left side and a golden look on the right side. An adjustable air suspension rounds up the package, turning this compact electric car into a true low-rider.
Since no changes regarding the electric powertrain are mentioned, we presume it remains stock. In the standard model, it puts out 147 horsepower (149 PS / 110 kW) and 236 pound-feet (319 Nm) of torque, while the Leaf e+ gets an upgraded electric motor with 214 hp (217 PS / 160 kW) and 250 lb-ft (340 Nm).
None of them will break any speed records, but at least they have decent acceleration. As for driving range, the standard Leaf can travel for 150 miles (241 km) before it runs out of juice, whereas the upgraded e+ goes on for 226 miles (364 km) on a single charge, as per EPA’s estimates, thanks to its 62 kWh lithium-ion battery.
