Woman robbed of gold chain in Gotri
TNN | Apr 3, 2019, 04:00 ISTVadodara: Visiting her relatives in the city proved costly for a Surti woman who had to lose her gold necklace worth Rs 75,000 to chain snatchers near ESI Hospital in Gotri on Monday.
The victim Neelam Pandya and her husband Jayesh Pandya had reached city in their car at night on Monday to meet their relatives. While the husband went inside the house to keep their luggage, Neelam remained sitting in the car. Meanwhile, two bike-borne men came from ISKCON temple side and closed the car’s door where Neelam was sitting. Before she could realize what was happening, the pillion rider snatched her necklace through the car’s window and duo sped away on their bike.
Neelam shouted for help, but they disappeared in the cover of darkness. The complainant could not see the faces or register the bike’s number owing to lack of light. Later, the husband registered a complaint with the Gotri police station.tnn
