Singapore Airlines grounds 2 Boeing 787-10 aircraft

Airlines has grounded two 787-10 after routine inspections found issues with the Trent 1000 TEN engines, according to a statement issued by the carrier on Tuesday.

The airlines declined to comment on the number of travellers affected, saying it was "actively getting in touch with customers" to re-accommodate them on various other flights.

The statement by the carrier showed that the had been in consultation with and completed all its engine inspections on its 787-10 fleet while a remaining check will be completed on a with its subsidiary by April 3.

"We regret the inconvenience caused and sincerely apologize to customers whose are affected and seek their understanding," said the airlines.

The grounding followed the suspension of all 737 MAX flights in its airspace in Singapore on March 12 by the country's Civil Authority in the wake of two fatal accidents involving MAX aircraft in less than five months.
