Drug controller Rajaram Sharma said they have seized medicines worth Rs 30,000 from the shop. He said that when they demanded bills of the medicines, the owner of the shop failed to provide them. Suspecting that the medicines could be spurious, the team of drug controllers collected samples of the medicines and sent it to laboratory for testing. The officials said that they have seized Clean Kit Tablet, Plastic Bottle Oxytocin Injection (Vet), Nitravet-10 Tablet, Alko-1 Tablet, Prozolam-0.5 Tablet, Relaxcof-100ml Syrup, Spasorid-Poxivon Capsule, Spasme- Piyevon Ct Capsule and Simplex Ct Capsule from the shop.
Health department officials said that the registered pharmacist of the shop had died recently and despite that the shop remained open. During the inspection, it was found that an unauthorised person was selling medicine from the shop. The raid was conducted on March 27.
