Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday launched PSLV C-45 carrying an electronic intelligence satellite EMISAT along with 28 nanosatellites, was launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
The launch was caught on camera by Captain Karun Karumbaya, an IndiGo airline pilot. Sitting in his cockpit, Karun spotted the satellite as his plane was 50 nautical miles away from the launch site.
The video was soon posted on Twitter by user Manoj Kumar Chanan, who is a part of Defense and Strategy Technology Aviation, was captioned, “PSLV launch as seen by Capt Karun Karumbaya, ex 224 Sqn, from the cockpit of his Indigo A – 320! The aircraft was 50nm from the launch site.” The pilot in the video can be heard saying, “Ladies and gentleman on the right, look outside your window, you can see the PSLV launch, the rocket, on the right side.”

“Beauty yaar… WOW. That’s amazing…WOW. That was a wonderful sight.” Capt Karumbaya’s co-pilot too could not contain his excitement, as it is evident in the 44-second video that they recorded.
