New Delhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday skirted a direct reply on being asked on whether he is the Prime Ministerial candidate of his party.
‘It is for people to decide , I just keep doing my work… ‘, Mr Gandhi told reporters after releasing the party’s manifesto in which the party pledged a number welfare schemes and sops for the job seekers and farmers.
Among other things, he said that if voted to power, the Congress party would like to have a separate budget to address agrarian issues.
He said that the Congress government will ensure that if farmers fail to repay the loans, then it will not be taken as a criminal offence , but will be considered as a civil matter. He further said that six per cent of the entire budget will be allocated to the education sector.
