Three persons have been arrested from Parsudih here for their alleged involvement in a betting racket during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match, the police said on Tuesday.
Following a tip-off, during the match between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals on Monday night, the police conducted a raid at an apartment and arrested them, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of East Singhbhum district, Alok Ranjan, said at a press conference.
Four mobile phones, Rs 12,700 in cash, a register, ATM cards and a TV set were seized from the flat, the DSP said, digital wallets were being use to transfer money.
"We have got some names and their mobile numbers from the seized register," the DSP said.
A investigation has been initiated, he said.
