Marcus Harris claims top honor at Cricket Victoria awards night
Marcus Harris has capped a superb summer by claiming the Bill Lawry Medal as Victoria's best Sheffield Shield player.
At the Cricket Victoria awards night on Tuesday, Harris - fresh off his century in the Shield final against NSW - claimed the top award in a season where he thumped a competition-leading 1188 runs at 69.88, with three centuries. He was also presented the John Scholes Award for exhibiting the best Victorian values.
Batsman Peter Handscomb claimed the Dean Jones Medal as the best one-day domestic player, while Meg Lanning celebrated the Sharon Tredrea Award as the best player of the Women's National Cricket League.
