Ulhasnagar: Constable caught red-handed while taking bribe

ULHASNAGAR: A police constable attached with Ulhasnagar crime branch unit of Thane police has been arrested red-handed for allegedly taking bribe money of Rs 80,000 on Tuesday evening.


An anti-corruption bureau (ACB) official said the complainant is an accused in an old theft case and Ramdas Misal was demanding bribe money of Rs 135,000 from him to not arrest in the case.


Acting on the complaint of the complainant, the ACB team on Tuesday evening led a trap near crime branch office in Ulhasnagar and nabbed Misal from his car red-handed while accepting settlement amount of Rs 80,000.
