Kashmere Gate Police Station of North District was declared on Tuesday as the best police station of the national capital in the annual ranking for 2018 and awarded certificate of excellence by the Home Ministry, police said.

The Delhi Police commissioner presented the certificate to Kashmere Gate' Station House Officer Devender Kumar on Tuesday.

According to officials, the parameters include maintenance and cleanliness of the building, workout of heinous cases, data uploaded on CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and Systems) and quality and disposal of enquiry report of various complaints received from watchdogs, among others.

The Home Ministry also appreciated their special drive conducted in connection with the rehabilitation and de-addiction of children indulged in substance abuse near Hanuman Mandir area, officials said.
