At the MWC 2019 earlier this year, LG took to the stage to announce the 5G-enabled V50 ThinQ (first impressions). The company officially announced the smartphone along with the 5G partners for the smartphone. However, for some reason, the pricing and the availability of the phone were kept under the wraps. The cat is finally out of the bag now as the company has revealed the pricing and availability of the flagship in South Korea.
LG V50 ThinQ price and availability
At the MWC 2019, the company had announced that the LG V50 ThinQ will be sold only in Astro Black hue, while its dual-screen cover will be available in a new Aurora Black colour. The smartphone is slated to go on sale in South Korea starting April 19th for KRW 1,119,000 (~Rs 73,000). The company will also be bundling the dual-screen attachment for the smartphone for free till May 2019. After May, the users will have to pay KRW 219,000 (~Rs 13,300) for the accessory.
LG V50 Specifications
The LG V50 ThinQ comes with a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision display with QHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone comes packing the latest and greatest, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC at its core accompanied by 6GB RAM and 128GB Storage. The onboard capacity can be increased up to 2TB using a microSD card. As is the case with LG flagships, the V50 ThinQ also flaunts IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and has MIL-STD 810G certification for military-grade durability.
Moving to the camera department, the V50 ThinQ features a 16MP super-wide f/1.9 primary sensor backed by a 12MP f/1.5 primary shooter and a 12MP telephoto f/2.4 camera. For selfies, you get a dual camera setup featuring an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary shooter. A 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support rounds up the spec sheet of the flagship.
As for the dual screen attachment, it brings an additional 6.2-inch OLED with 2,160 x 1,080 pixels screen resolution. Stay tuned in for more updates about the LG V50 ThinQ.
