Virat Kohli: "We were 15-20 runs short. Marcus and Moeen got us to a competitive score. It wasn't easy to score in the end as the wicket became slower. We made a lot of mistakes in the match. The team hasn't got off to a good start. We have 10 games to do, hopefully we can turn things around. We played well in Mumbai game and in this game. This tournament is not that long and you have to think on your feet and have to think about the best combination going forward. We should focus on putting our best eleven on the field."

Virat Kohli: "It's never nice to start without a win, but we are excited about this game. It's a long tournament, if you get on a roll, you can win plenty. We wanted to bat first, if the pitch gets scruffed up, we might have a good chance. Plus, we have that type of combination, defending makes more sense."

Ajinkya Rahane: "We have had three close games, should have closed it. But this is another opportunity and we are looking forward to it. We will bowl first, looks like a dry wicket, there might be some dew later on as well. Looking to keep them down to a small score."

Pitch Report
"The Sawai Man Singh stadium spins less than any other surfaces, there are some dry areas interspersed with grass. As we move along, the grass content is heavier. It will allow the ball to slide on nicely, should be some pace and bounce - this pitch will aid the faster men and you can score some runs as well." - Ian Bishop
