BU professor sexually harassed, says research asst
TNN | Apr 2, 2019, 04:22 ISTCoimbatore: A research assistant at the department of Nano Science and Technology of the Bharathiar University has raised a sexual harassment complaint against an assistant professor of the department.
University officials said the student had sent a mail about the issue to the female faculty members of the university 10 days ago. The head of the department has issued a note to the authorities concerned regarding it and it has been forwarded to the internal complaints committee.
The official said the department head has contacted the research assistant, who has now quit the position, and has asked to lodge a formal complaint, so that the inquiry can be taken forward. TNN
