Queanbeyan rallies to save 'model citizens' from deportation
This is heartbreaking. A local family is facing deportation, after their application for permanent residency was knocked back because their son is deaf.
But the Queanbeyan community is not letting them go so easily and has taken the fight all the way to the minister.

Jobs created on Canberra's light rail 'exceeded expectations'
As the light rail launch date draws closer, I thought I'd factcheck a claim from Bill Shorten that there were 1400 direct jobs created during the construction.
Incredibly, the ACT government reckons more than 4500 were inducted onto the project, which is the proxy they are using to estimate how many jobs it created.
